Brasco Lounge ... Eating Vegan in Liverpool

It seems that so many people are making the switch to a meat free diet lately, and with the new higher demand restaurants and cafes have really stepped up their game! I'm always looking out for new places to eat and so I thought I would take you along for the adventure and compile a series of restaurants to visit in Liverpool!

I first heard about Brasco Lounge when several excited foodies left some great reviews on the Scouseveg Facebook page and so I decided we should venture down and try it for ourselves. The location is slightly out of the way from the hustle and bustle of the City centre, behind Mann Island and right next to the new Liverpool Life museum (well it's not that new anymore, but you know what I mean), so it's pretty easy to find!
Outside you are greeted by a selection of colourful tables and chairs, but the windy and gloomy day instead sent me inside which has a wonderful, cozy feel. The walls are filled with cool black and white vintage photo's and Pinterest worthy antique mirrors while the room is filled with eclectic wooden tables and comfy couches to choose from.

It's not often that we are offered a dedicated Vegan menu so you can imagine my delight to have a full page of dishes to choose from, there is also a gluten free menu available!
The overwhelming choice meant I took longer than normal to decide on a meal, but I eventually went for the falafel ciabatta and Mike chose the falafel burger.
We also both chose lattes, mine of course being iced with a shot of hazelnut syrup (I'm so predictable). However when we placed the order our lovely server told us that they had ran out of soya milk and offered for someone to run to the shop in order to quickly stock up. The staff were so thoughtful and thoroughly apologised for the wait on the drinks, but they had gone out of their way to make us happy so I retaliated with more sorry's!

Needless to say (I'm sure you've guessed judging by the tone of this post), the food was incredible! The ciabatta housed the tastiest falafel's I've ever had and the huge sides of chunky fries and vegan coleslaw were amazing. Mike seemed to be equally impressed by his burger and we ended up being to full to sample the chocolate and ginger torte dessert (I've tried it previously and it certainly does not disappoint)!

We will without a doubt be regulars from now on at Brasco Lounge. The food and drinks were delicious and the customer service and general vibe was really impressive!

Check them out on Facebook or their website...

Let me know if you have any suggestions of places that I should try next in Liverpool, I would love to know your favourite places to eat!
