Time to invest in a Winter coat

I'm off to London at the end of the month and I wanted a winter coat that was warm but would also look nice and go with whatever outfits I decided to take on the trip. I've wanted a shearling look-alike biker coat since seeing this amazing outfit on Pinterest and I finally decided to treat myself.

The hunt began and ended in Topshop after stumbling across this beauty. I wanted an oversized style and after initially trying on the size 12 I decided to go all out and pick up the 14. The coat isn't as thick as you might expect but it is fluffy on the inside and if you size up there will be plenty of room to wear a jumper beneath on those really cold winter days.

The suede effect is so cosy, soft and of course cruelty free! I spotted a similar version in Warehouse that was a leather effect but I decided to go with something different from the biker I already have.

I'm so happy with the purchase and I'm excited to try styling it in different ways!

OOTD Vegan leather jacket

I have been wanting a faux leather jacket since going vegan and I seriously don't know how I went so long without one! Initially I was going to buy one of the pastel jackets from Zara that every one has been wearing, but after it came out that Zara had been stealing peoples artwork I was so glad that I hadn't!

I was torn between buying a plain black leather or getting a colourful version. After a few days deliberating I decided to get the more versatile and classic black jacket and I'm so happy with it!
I went for a size up from my usual to get more of a relaxed fit and I'll easily be able to layer a hoody underneath in the winter. The only problem is that the back is a bit tight if I lift my arms up or stretch (rock climber probs).

The sun was shining so I wore my trusty Vans pool sliders. You can't go wrong with checkerboard and I like how they dress down an outfit and make it a bit more casual. I've lived in them this summer.

Spring essential... The bomber jacket

I've been wanting a bomber jacket since the first time I saw Kim K sporting hers with a pair of causal jeans and stiletto's. I finally caved and decided that my wardrobe was in need of one! I first ventured in to Topshop but for £55 I wasn't impressed, especially when the zip got stuck and trapped me inside (quite embarrassing). Luckily New Look had this beauty and it also comes in khaki and a lovely champagne colour. The jacket is so versatile and it really kept me warm with the flannel shirt layered underneath.
I kept the outfit simple, but I really love how the high shine finish of the coat adds some interest.

Also I should mention these boots are another amazing New Look find, only £16 in the sale! They remind me of the boots from the Doc Martens and Agyness Deyn collection with the chunky sole and pointed toe.
I seriously can't wait for the spring weather to kick in so that I can team this jacket with bodycon dresses and cute shorts!

Here I am trying to make friends with a wood pigeon, sadly he didn't trust me

Zara camel coat

I'm pretty psyched to have found my perfect winter coat this year, although my twenty minute deliberation in Zara would say otherwise.
I'm a very indecisive person and the thought of spending £80 without much mulling over is quite scary. Nevertheless, as the shops imminent closure was looming and I was continually reminded by tired staff over the tannoy, I grabbed the jacket and rushed to the till.
The next day when I put on my new purchase I felt no regret. The coat is a really high quality, structured, beautiful and most importantly warm!
The only downside is that the bottom flaps up in the wind, so I wish there was another button to secure it (if only I had some cotton and thread!). Today was a very windy day so that was nicely demonstrated in these photo's.
