OOTD Pretty in Pink

Am I Molly Ringwald yet? I've been obsessed with pink this summer and today I celebrated my love for the colour by wearing lots of it.

This amazing Topshop pinny was a charity shop find a few months back and I haven't got much wear out of it. I gravitate more towards trousers and leggings so often my dress collection gets neglected, maybe if the sun made more of an appearance I would be more inclined to get my legs out.

It's a nice chunky cord material so I'm planning to carry on wearing it through the autumn and winter with thick tights.

I've just realised if I dye my hair red I could live my teenage dream of being Molly Ringwald and I would like young Judd Nelson as well please.
Thank you.

OOTD Skateboarding practise

I'll start by apologising for my absence on here.
I don't have an excuse, my minds been preoccupied and I'm blaming the mercury retrograde. Anyway it doesn't matter now because I'm back and I'm excited to get back in to writing, photography and all of the other blog related fun!

70's Vibes OOTD

Last night was a fun one! I got all dressed up, met my best friend Emma and drank cocktails (well, we put straws in pitchers of cocktails so not very sophisticated!).

I've been obsessed with 70's fashion for about 5 years now so I love when it comes in to fashion and there's tons to choose from in the shops.

I really love this suede effect pencil skirt from Primark but the weather has been so grim lately I haven't been able to get much wear out of it. Luckily the rain eased off yesterday and I teamed it with my off the shoulder Motel crop that I've had for a while.

I accessorised with my trusty River Island choker and Forever 21 rings.
I would have loved to wear awesome heels but sadly my ankle is still dodgy after I sprained it a few months ago, so I had to go for my white chunky New Look sandals, but I think they still worked well with the outfit.

Our girl's night was a fun one so hopefully we'll do it more often!
Sorry about the quality of these photo's, it was a last minute job...

To cut or not to cut

When I was 15 and going through my scene kid phase I decided it would be a good idea to cut almost all of my hair off and ever since I've been completely traumatised. Even having my split ends trimmed would make me panic.
6 years later and my hair was down to my bum, lifeless and too thick for me to manage most of the time. I love long, thick mermaid hair, but mine was getting scruffy and a curly blow dry was starting to take over an hour!
Lately I've been obsessed with the short bob, especially on Kim K, Kylie Jenner and Giuliana Rancic. After scrolling through Pinterest looking through hairstyles I was finally feeling confident enough to go for it!
I showed my hairdresser some pictures of Kim K when she was a blondie, but instead of commiting to the long bob I asked for slightly longer (baby steps!).

Here is what my hair was like before...

... and 10 inches later

I know it's not super short, but 10 inches of hair makes a huge difference!
I'm so pleased with it, literally a weight has been lifted from my shoulders, no more headaches when I wear my hair up.
I just love it, I feel a lot more polished now and I can't wait to try different styles and experiment.

I think next time I'm going to go for the collar bone length cut, now I'm confident that I won't have any regrets afterwards!
