Growing out a buzzcut... One year update

I've now officially been growing my hair out for a whole year! I thought I'd take a few photo's to show how much it's grown and just to talk about it more. For the first few months I was cutting it monthly to keep the mullet at bay, but I cut it for the last time in August and ever since then I've just been trying to power through and strategically style it so the mullet isn't too obvious. For these photo's I decided to just leave it natural and unstyled so that you can properly see the length though.

There's been so many times that I've just wanted to cut it all off, but luckily I haven't gave in to the temptation! It definitely helps having pictures of long hair inspo to keep you motivated (I have Monami Frost and her beautiful long hair to thank).
There is a big possibility that I'll have a pixie cut again but for now I'm looking forward to growing my hair long and enjoying having my natural colour for the first time in a long time! For now hair pieces will have to be my new best friend!

Here's a bonus pic of Sabbath being cute as a thank you for reading this post!

OOTD Skateboarding practise

I'll start by apologising for my absence on here.
I don't have an excuse, my minds been preoccupied and I'm blaming the mercury retrograde. Anyway it doesn't matter now because I'm back and I'm excited to get back in to writing, photography and all of the other blog related fun!

Vegan tattoo aftercare review... "El Gato Negro"

I recently visited the Liverpool tattoo convention and I was lucky enough to have my sternum tattooed by the incredible Scott Move. I've wanted a dagger on my sternum for about 6 years and I'm so glad that I waited for the perfect artist to do it.
It was extremely painful and even though Scott had the tattoo finished in no time, it was still tough, especially on my ribs and above my belly button!
As much as it sucked, I couldn't be happier and I feel so beautiful.

Whilst I was getting tattooed I sent my boyfriend Mike to buy some Vegan tattoo aftercare from a stand we had seen at the convention. I've become a lot more aware of what I put in my body, on my skin and what products I use in general. The tattoo healing balm is "El Gato Negro" a 100% organic product made with natural ingredients.

Only a small amount of balm is needed to moisturise the fresh tattoo, when rubbed in it will melt and glide in to the skin. The product uses cocoa butter which means that it has an amazing smell like chocolate and it feels extremely moisturising when it becomes a thin layer of oil.
I was washing the tattoo with soap and warm water and then reapplying the balm about three or four times every day. I was bruised and sensitive for over a week of the healing process and so it was great to have a balm that melts so easily, it meant I wasn't pressing too hard as I mousturised.

"El Gato Negro" is known to speed up the healing process and I certainly experienced that with my tattoo. I was surprised that it was completely healed in two weeks and it looked and felt amazing.

I'm so glad that I found a Vegan, organic product and I definitely reccomend it to anyone who is planning on getting tattooed. Considering my sternum tattoo is fairly large, I have only used about a third of the product, meaning it will last me for several tattoos and be great value for money.

Check out their Instagram and website.

Thanks for reading this quick review and please let me know what method you use when healing your tattoos!

Faux fur and tattoo's OOTD

This was the first day of the year that I've managed to leave the house with bare legs and I'm so happy to see the first signs of Spring! I braved getting my legs out because I was off to get a matching tattoo with my boyfriend and tights are too awkward to be an option.

I wanted a long jumper dress to keep me warmer, but when I found this midi dress in Primark I decided it would be a better option and I could carry on wearing it through the summer.

To keep me super warm I layered up my black coat with my faux fur gilet, it's long line and really cosy. I also bought these fake converse from Primark because I'm broke at the min and the real ones didn't seem worth the extra expense! Luckily they're really comfy since I also bought them in white, but at £6 they were too much of a bargain to resist!

Also I'm really happy with how my hair is growing in to a pixie crop, I feel super cute. I'm growing to grow it a little bit more and then make maybe shave the sides and have it longer on top, decisions, decisions.

I can't sleep 'cause my bed's on fire, don't touch me I'm a real live wire.. OOTD

Pinafore - Primark
Boots - River Island
Bag - Primark
Watch - Asos

As expected these River Island boots have hardly left my feet since they were delivered. I was a bit wild and bought the pinafore in this burgundy red instead of my usual black and I am glad I did (although I'm quite tempted to go back and get the black version as well).
Please ignore my chipped nail varnish and bruise covered legs...

I'm hoping to start doing more outfit of the day posts but I'm quite forgetful and I'm still quite shy when it comes to taking photo's in public places (for these pics I hid behind a wall in the train station!)
