Pink pop of colour OOTD

We popped in to town to check out a vintage fair today and I finally got to wear my amazing pink fluffy bag! It was rather pricey but I couldn't resist, especially since I'm trying to incorporate more colour in to my mainly black wardrobe.

The vintage fair was quite expensive so I didn't buy much, but it was still fun to have a walk around and of course to get some style inspiration from the other customers. I picked up some awesome clip on earrings from the 60's so it was definitely a worthwhile trip!

Faux fur and tattoo's OOTD

This was the first day of the year that I've managed to leave the house with bare legs and I'm so happy to see the first signs of Spring! I braved getting my legs out because I was off to get a matching tattoo with my boyfriend and tights are too awkward to be an option.

I wanted a long jumper dress to keep me warmer, but when I found this midi dress in Primark I decided it would be a better option and I could carry on wearing it through the summer.

To keep me super warm I layered up my black coat with my faux fur gilet, it's long line and really cosy. I also bought these fake converse from Primark because I'm broke at the min and the real ones didn't seem worth the extra expense! Luckily they're really comfy since I also bought them in white, but at £6 they were too much of a bargain to resist!

Also I'm really happy with how my hair is growing in to a pixie crop, I feel super cute. I'm growing to grow it a little bit more and then make maybe shave the sides and have it longer on top, decisions, decisions.

Cruelty free makeup.. the new highlighter palette

I thought I'd quickly share with you the new highlighter palette that's become my current makeup addiction!
Recently I found out that Sleek are Cruelty free and so I decided to pay my local Superdrug a visit. I bought the Solstice highlighting palette and the Matte me liquid lipstick in "Birthday suit".

-

I had read lots of positive reviews about the matte me lipsticks, with people requesting more nude and neutral shades in particular. I'm really impressed with "Birthday suit" and I've been using it as my new daily lip colour. The colour is really subtle but still pretty and the matte formula means that it lasts hours, even through lunch!

-

Sleek have several highlighting palette's to choose from, I chose "Solstice" as I was loving the variety of the colours! There is one cream formula (that I have been using as a base) and three shimmery powders. I am so happy with the shades and the pigmentation is really impressive.

What's your favourite highlighter to use?

Leopard print and faux shearling OOTD

After spending a huge amount of money on Christmas gifts, the plan was to start the New year by saving all of my pennies! That plan soon failed when I popped to town and caught sight of all the amazing sales (oops). Luckily the reduced prices means it wasn't too naughty.

-

I fell in love with this Topshop dress a few weeks back but couldn't justify the price, so I felt it was meant to be when I found it for only £20! (It's only £15 now on the website if you're interested). I love the high neck and the metallic finish.
After shaving my head it wasn't long before I realised I had to buy a scarf to keep my neck warm! When I picked up this faux shearling stole from New Look I didn't really think it was something I'd wear, but when I tried the scarf on I fell in love with it.
It's so toasty warm and it looks amazing with all of my coats.

I cut off my hair!

I've been having a bit of an identity crisis over the last few months, not knowing what clothes I should wear and feeling uninspired to do my hair and make up.

One of my favourite YouTuber's All Dolled Up uploaded a video explaining why she shaved her head, with all of her pro's and con's and I was obsessed! I ended up spending the next few hours watching video's of women shaving their hair and talking about their experiences. I knew pretty much straight away that I was going to do it, but for some reason I was worried about what my family would think.

-

On Christmas day I asked my family what they thought about me cutting my hair off and after they realised it wasn't a joke everyone was supportive and interested.
My mum was especially keen since she's been suggesting I get a Mohawk since I was 16!

I don't know what it was exactly that made me be so drawn to the idea of completely shaving my head.
I always trust my instincts completely and I knew that because the idea was so prominent and I couldn't get it out of my mind, I had to do it.

-

After a week of obsessively finding photo's of women with buzzcut's I was ready to go the barber's. When I showed the barber the picture I had for inspiration of Agyness Deyn she was in shock, she was worried I'd cry or hate it but I had no doubt's whatsoever.
Because my roots were only small she had to shave it quite short to get all of the blonde out and I ended up at a number two.
Seeing my natural hair colour after bleaching it for the last 4 years was the craziest thing, but I immediately loved my new buzzcut!

It's been four days since I had it cut and I couldn't be happier. I honestly don't know if I will keep it shaven or grow it out slightly in to a pixie cut but at the minute I'm loving having it super short and I'm feeling more beautiful than I ever have hiding behind long hair.

-

I'm going to write a longer post soon talking about my pro's and con's and also how peoples reactions have been, so check back soon if you're interested!
Thank you for reading! Would you ever shave your hair off?
